Happy Fall Y'all!!!

Ok, even in Florida we can get the "fall bug" and want to decorate! I must confess, I don't go hog-wild on fall decor, though I like to do a "smathering". My big all-out, pull-out-the-stops, bling-it-up holiday is Christmas (so do come back and see my showin' off for that! LOL). So anyway, late last night I was on Rhoda's site (Southern Hospitality) and she was having a Fall party. I had so much fun going to everyone's decor (ok, not everyone, I'm still gawking at all the many sites!) so I thought I'd share what my "smathering" in my home looks like. Go check out all the nice decorations on her site and maybe get some inspiration.

from this.....
(notice the "floppy top". Anybody know how I can fix that???)

So there you have it. Though, after viewing all the others' decorations for fall I did want to run right out and buy some stuff. LOL But I think if I do, I'll wait for the 60-70% off sale. Of course, then that'll mean I'll need to get another rubbermaid container. ...

  4. I LOVE fall and here in Utah right now the autumn leaves everywhere, especially in the mountains are Gorgeous!
BTW, your hanging quilt just needs a pole pocket higher up so that the scallops don't droop (just make sure that the pole pocket isn't too high or it will show where the border is lower). It is a beautiful quilt. Did you make it?

  5. Or, you could use a decorative rod that is meant to be seen and hang your beautiful quilt with some fabric tabs on the back at the top of each scallop.

  6. Hey there, you're my rubbermaid container sister...lol. I too have containers filled with decorations from different seasons and holidays. Let's just both pick up some nice Fall decorations at 60 to 70% off and we'll save our energy for Christmas. Altho I do love the quilt on the wall, what a clever idea.

  7. Those are wonderful decorations! I can barely get my family (all males) to agree to Christmas decorations, Fall is out of luck though it is one of my favorite seasons. Love the colors.

  12. Well, I am a grandmother but I still hang out with children...a lot. So I guess I fit in here just a little. In my experience anything can be fixed with spray starch and double sided tape...even floppy wall hangings.

I just wanted to let you know that I actually am friends with a former 'Betty Crocker'. She worked for the company back in the day when the governor's wife called for entertainment ideas. Until I became acquainted with her I had no idea there really was such a person!

    Great blog.
